A motor at the Los Amigos/bottom pool has broken and the water is green. People shouldn’t swim in it until the chemicals are regulated, so it’s closed to the public until this is fixed. We are looking for a new motor, and if we’re lucky, the pool may be back in operation by the weekend, but there’s no guarantee that will be the case.

We will keep owners informed via the blog and local signage.

Sadly, Barbara Hale has decided to resign from the Playa Bastian Zone D Committee for personal reasons. This is of course very disappointing, but she needs to focus on other personal issues.

She has been an excellent contributor to the Committee over the years and will be greatly missed, I’m sure you all agree.

Fortunately, there are still four remaining Committee members to continue for now.

If any owners would like to support the Committees work then please let us know.

Recycling units contamination

Location Top left hand side of Playa Bastian.

Early this last week 3 bags of household rubbish were removed from the blue paper and cardboard unit, and later in the week, 6 bags were removed. Today, Sunday a further 4 bags were removed. They were mainly in supermarket bags with one lilac bin bag on each occasion. It would appear that they are all from the same person and whoever is doing this does not know where the Basura bins are located.

There is also a recurring problem of household rubbish being dumped in the waste bins around the site.

For clarification the units are:

Green – Glass.

Blue – Paper and cardboard

Yellow- Cans and metal food containers, Tetra packs and similar drinks containers, Plastic cleaning product bottles, Supermarket bags and soft plastic from food containers, Plastic water and drinks bottles, Plastic yoghurt pots and similar containers.

Please squash water and drinks bottles to maximise capacity.

The Basura bins are located in the walled area against the fence.

The committee ask for your support in this matter by you ensuring your guests and family members disposing of the waste are aware of the correct place to put it.

Thank you for your cooperation
