Due to recent incidents on Playa Bastian, can i please remind owners not to leave Money or Valuables on Tables or on Terraces unattended, as there are thieves around who are looking for the opportunity to steal these items. Please be vigilant and make sure your valuables are kept safe.

The electricity company Endesa have changed their billing from charging bi-monthly to monthly.

Stefan has contacted us recently regarding call out charges, and what is his responsibility, the community’s responsibility and the owners responsibility.

So, to clarify, the community is responsible for the co-ax cable that runs to a property, and any external splitters, and additional cabling, that goes from a splitter to the property. There is no charge if this needs repairing. Internally, the community is not responsible for any changes made to the router by the owner (eg factory reset), nor to any changes to the cable connections of the router or Devolo boxes. If the owner has lost internet connectivity because the router settings have been changed, for instance, by a factory reset, then they are responsible for any charges, call out fees etc incurred from Stefan. Stefan is also not responsible for any additional cabling or splitters inside the property, for multiple TV’s, unless he or Alex have installed it themselves.

If owners experience problems with their internet, please contact Luis in reception. He may be aware of issues with the system affecting the entire site, or can contact Stefan asking him to check your connection remotely. Stefan can also be contacted directly, see details on website.

We have received a query regarding payment of rates to the Ayuntamiento by direct debit. Some owners who pay by direct debit, have noticed that payments have not been taken from their accounts. Luis has phoned the Ayuntamiento and found out that this year, and this year only, payments for rates through direct debits, will be taken in 3 payments, in September, October and November.

We have had an email from an owner regarding suspicious activity on the evening of 4/7/17 in the area around the T’s and V’s. I thought it important to let owners know about this and have included the email below.

Last night, 4/7/17, at approx 9pm I was sitting in my apartment reading, when a male walked up onto my balcony/ veranda and started to look through the open shutters into the bedroom. He could not see me, as I have tinted glass on my patio doors. I called out to him and asked him what he wanted and he turned and walked away. By the time I had unlocked the doors and walked down the steps he had met up with another male and they were walking up the hill towards the main road. I again called out to them but neither of them turned their heads. I think the second male was waiting at the back of my apartment, where the window was completely open. It’s obvious that they were up to no good.
The descriptions are –
1st suspect- White male, in his 20’s, slim, average height, very short almost shaved fair hair, he was wearing a red tee shirt and green shorts.
2nd suspect (I only saw from the back) – White, short black hair but not shaved, slightly shorter than the first, wearing dark blue or black shorts and a red tee shirt with the number 3 on the back in black.

I have reported the incident to Luis and he has informed the police, who are interested in speaking to me about the incident.

Can you please let the other owners know the descriptions of these two and advise them about leaving their shutters and Windows open.
