The circulation pump in Piscina 2 burnt out and has been replaced with a new pump.

There is a problem with rain water laying behind properties 16 to 18, and when excessive, liable to cause damage to the properties. Extra drainage grills are to be fitted to alleviate the situation.

Work is ongoing regards changing the TV to Digital Channels and will continue until the end of December. Many thanks to Hedley Smith, Brian Adamson and Ken Harvey for their help. We are sorry for any inconvenience while the work is continuing.

The new heat pumps for the Pool adjacent to Los Amigos are currently being installed and should be complete by the end of the week.

The new gate at Piscina 2 at the top of the steps to the pump room has now been fitted as a safety issue.

We have had several requests from owners to carry out Pruning Shrubs and Trees. A programme of Pruning has been started.

We have had a gate made for the top of the stairs of the middle pool pump room. Yet to be fitted.

The heat pump room, adjacent to Los Amigos is currently being extended to incorporate the new heat pumps and create extra storage facilities for our equipment.

We are continuing to replace manholes in footpaths to improve the quality of the paths.

The Island has again problems with Fungus mainly on the Hibiscus. Alexis is dealing with the treatment on our complex. Alexis will be employed for 2 weeks to assist in pruning shrubs and bushes. The excessive rain at the end of last year has encouraged a lot of growth this summer.

We are installing a Gate at the top of the Steps of Piscina 2 as we regard this as a safety issue.

We are also fitting a device between 106B and 107 to prevent vehicles parking there as several times the Kerb stones have been damaged by Vehicles.

Luis is on holiday over August. Roberta will be standing in for him.

We have been installing two new runs of water main from 90 – 94 and 99a to 100b. We have been replacing the pipes to the house meters from the main pipe run

Miguel will take 2 weeks in September and make the remainder of his holiday taking thursdays off.

The internet as a whole has been running well with no major problems. Any issues we do have are mainly related to individual properties rather than the system.

The TV project is advancing well thanks to Hedley, Ken and Julian. We have all the equipment installed and have got eight British and German digital channels working. We have also upgraded the terrestrial TV system coming through the normal TV aerial so that there will be all the local Spanish and Canarian stations as well. We still have to carry out further testing to iron out a few minor issues, but we are almost there!

Julian has informed me that the website and blog require migrating to a new server, as the old server is no longer supported by the hosting company.

This will begin on Monday 25th May. He hopes that this will run smoothly, but there is the potential for some disruption of service for a period of 2-3 days after commencement.

The new water mains has been completed between No.4 and 22.

The Palm Trees have received two treatments for the Beetle attacks with one more to go. All Chemicals used are as specified by the Cabildo. The treatment will last for 3 years before being repeated.

We are replacing the existing water mains pipe from the rear of No.22 to the path adjacent to no.4. We have experienced two slight leaks recently in the old mains pipe.

The TV and WiFi upgrades are proceeding and the project should be complete in the next few weeks.

There will be some disruption to the TV and WiFi system from
17.4.2015 To 25.4.2015.

This is due to the upgrading of the system.

The disruption will be during the working day. The extent of the disruption is unclear at this time, but if we get further information we will update the blog.
