I have negotiated a new contract with Iberdrola for the Community electrics and increased our discount from 25% nach 30% for 2018.
Basura
We believe in the next month or so we will lose the large Basura Skip for smaller ones behind Los Amigos. Subject to the size of the Lorry that collect the Skips, we may have to relocate the Skips as sometimes the Lorry’s are large than the current lorry that services that area.
Picon
On Tuesday next two loads of Picon is being delivered for the Gardens.
Sewers
The Drains have been excavated by Canal Gestian as a break in the pipe has become a major operation.
This is being carried out in front of Nos. 1 und 2. This work has been carried out over the weekend.See images below

On Thursday the temperature was recorded at 7.6 c. This is having an adverse effect on heated pools across the island as the heat pumps are struggling to cope with the low temperatures.
We have discovered a broken sewer drain pipe, running towards the promenade, which is on Ayuntiomento or Inalsas land. The break is about 8 metres from the promenade wall. The procedure to have this repaired or renewed is to ring the Ayuntiomento, should they refuse to act, we then have to phone the water company. Should they also fail to act, we have to phone the local police! As we may have to carry out this repair ourselves, and because we are on private land, Wir benötigen eine Genehmigung und einen Mitarbeiter zur Durchführung der Arbeit, die eine Haftpflichtversicherung hat,,en,wie jeder private Unternehmer bei der Ausführung von Arbeiten am Komplex haben sollte,,en,Nichts einfaches, es tut mir leid zu sagen,,en, as every private contractor should have when carrying out work on the Complex.
Nothing simple I am sorry to say.

The Heat Pumps to the Ts and Vs pool have been temporarily turned off as we have a Filter that has become damaged through age. We are dealing with the problem.
Two houses have been flooded caused by a blocked Sewer. We believe the problem is still being caused by flushing wet wipes down toilets. We have requested before that your family, friends and guests are informed about this issue. Please remind them not to, as it is important.

The plant that supplies the recycled water has been refurbished and the supply now has increased pressure to all areas. The current problem is where the inserts for the system are not in place, we have 2 meter high water spouts which then decreases the pressure to neighbours gardens.
Although the first stage of the fibre optic cable is now in place we cannot confirm a date for the final connection. The official application has been made and we will be informed when the company intend to complete the final installation.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Please can Owners advise their Guests not to use the small bins around the Pools and Roads for Household waste. Also, Owners must inform their Guests where the main household Basura Skips are i.e. one behind Los Amigos and one by the road on Zone C.
This has been a problem this Summer and just creates additional work for our Maintenence team.
Next Public holiday in Lanzarote Friday 15th October 2017. Los Dolores.
