Permit for recycled water has been received and we are completing more paperwork before we can make final connections. This should prove beneficial for the Gardens.

The promenade gate has been vandalised several times and the cost of repairs to the Community is becoming a problem. Unfortunately it has been damaged again and would not lock so once more we had to call the electrician out. The gate keypad had been smashed by a rock, we have had to replace the keypad and Miguel has also made metal cages to protect them from similar damage.

The current camera arrangement has proved less than successful in deterring or catching any vandals or thieves. We are currently looking to upgrade the cameras within Zone D and adding an additional camera overlooking the gate area.

We needed to replace the waste bins around the Zone, to buy new ones for the road and swimming pools would have cost the community €95 per bin. Miguel has made seven new bins at €25 per bin . A really top class job. Another of Miguel’s many skills.

The extension to the maintenance teams store has started. Foundations being dug and concreted as we speak. This store also includes secure locked premises for our equipment, plus the internet room, now that this has been passed at the recent EGM.

Another very busy couple of weeks!

We have sent letters to the Managers of six local hotels reference use of the centre road as access.

Three signs are being made to deter holiday makers from accessing our complex. one between propertys 4 und 5 stating access is for Bar Bastian restaurant only, one to the road behind the T’s and V’s and one to the side of Bar Bastian.

The program of replacing manhole covers continues, and the raising of the wall to the North East boundary has been completed.

The first installation on lanzarote ( at faro Park, Playa Blanca) using the existing co-axial ( TV) cables, is going live this month ( Kann). If successful, and the residents there assure us it works well, your board would like to get on with an installationon Zone d as quickly as possible.

We have negotiated our bank charges from Sol Bank from €1073 last year to approx €200 this year.

March Update

As we know Industria Las Palmas, who oversee our Electric supply have since 2003 required us to upgrade and renew all of our complex electric cables. i.e. Pools and street lights. Last year all electrics to the swimming pool rooms were upgraded to current standards and we have recently commenced upgrading our street light cables. Read more “March Update”
