Der Boden des neuen Kommunikationsraums wird derzeit gefliest und ist für die Installation unseres neuen Systems vorbereitet.

Eine weitere LKW-Ladung Picon wurde geliefert und wird derzeit in den Gärten verteilt.

Wir haben uns entschieden, sowohl über Nacht als auch tagsüber mit dem Gießen zu beginnen. Der Grund dafür ist, dass wir an manchen Tagen sehr wenig Druck haben, da wir das System mit anderen teilen. Nachts erwarten wir einen gleichmäßigeren Fluss, was für alle von Vorteil sein sollte, und insbesondere zu den Ts und Vs, die sich am Ende der Bewässerungsläufe befinden.

A builder painting on the Ts and Vs, using external plastic paint, has been washing out his brushes in the Community Shower. Please make sure any “Tradesmen” you use do not use Community Property in this way.

The swimming Pool heat pump near Los Amigos has broken down again. We will ascertain the problem and repair as soon as possible.

An update to the previous blog message

We have just visited the Barcello Hotel to check that all is ready for tomorrow, and they have now told us that we will be in the Manrique Room after all!

This is just to let you all know that this years AGM at Barcello will now be held in the Dali Room instead of the Manrique room.

We have now installed over 200 meter of Cat 5 Cable ( computer network cable). This is running from our new computer/TV room to the first amplifier adjacent to No.81.This will enable us to remove all of our equipment from the current TV room and have it all under one roof. When the move is carried we expect some disruption to the system for 2 – 3 Tage

Once the move is complete we intend to divide current wifi users equally between the three current adsl lines. Presently the lines are not equally shared.

AGM at Barcello – This years AGM may be moved from the Manrique room to the Dali Room subject to the staff being unable to prepare the Manrique room in time owing to a booking the previous day.

For several weeks now, we have been attempting to have installed recycling bins for Plastic and Cardboard adjacent to the Basura behind Los Amigos. We are currently “in the system” and awaiting their arrival.

The Palm Tree Pruning is now nearing completion.

2 loads of Picon have been bought and spread on the Gardens with one more load to buy to complete our current requirements.

We have now completed fumigation of all areas of Zone D against cockroaches etc.

For several weeks now the internet has been inconsistent. It has become clear on speaking to other people outside of Playa Bastian that this is a wider problem with Telefonica.

Palm Tree pruning is now progressing and is almost 1/3rd completed. The free containers we enjoyed from the Cabildo for collecting Palm Tree cuttings are no longer available and in future we will be paying for the containers privately.

The Doors to the Gardeners room have finally expired and have been replaced with a pair of Aluminium doors.

2 new lights are being supplied and fitted around the middle pool as this has proved to need extra lighting and at any time the Pool lights were not working.

Picon has been delivered and is currently being spread on the gardens.

Alexis has planned in the Palm Tree pruning and will commence asap.

Der letzte Container wurde geliefert Bäume in dem jüngsten schlechten Wetter verloren zu entfernen,,en,Nächste Woche sollten wir wieder zur Normalität zurückkehren,,en,Wir sind weiterhin alte Straßenlichtkabel mit allen Problemen der unterirdischen Kanäle im Laufe der Jahre immer zerquetscht ersetzen,,en,Im nächsten,,en,Wochen werden wir mehr Picon werden mit ausgeliefert,,en,Ich möchte Ken Harvey danken, die dazu beigetragen hat, für mehrere Tage die Lichter und Kabelprobleme ref,,en. We are continuing to replace old street light cables with all the problems of underground ducts becoming crushed over the years.

In the next 2 weeks we will be having more Picon delivered.

The Pumping Station in front of the Coronas Playa Hotel was overwhelmed by approx 10″ or 250mm of rain during the recent deluge. This caused severe flooding to zone D’s drainage system and resulted in blockages and drain covers lifting off. Currently this has all been cleared up and hopefully the rain forecast for the 28.11.14 will not bring a repeat of the situation.

As previously reported, replacing old lighting cables are causing problems with cables concreted in and new runs being laid in new ducts.
