Dear Owners,

We have received several reports of suspicious individuals wandering around Playa Bastian, possibly intending to occupy or rob a property.

It seems they have been leaving marks to indicate some properties which are vacant. (Eg tape over doorbells)

Some owners have seen them and have chased them away and notified the police, which, we believe has been crucial in preventing break-in.

Please, if you see anything suspicious, act immediately and help us all. (Photos, videos, descriptions all potentially useful)

Our staff are alert, but the individuals rarely appear during working hours.

The police do not provide security in a private complex, however, they will come if someone notifies them of seeing someone suspicious on the premises.

As before we recommend that all owners arrange their own security/alarm service for their properties, especially those that are regularly unoccupied.

Pool Fencing Work

Please be aware that the aluminium parts of the pool fencing will be completed on both pools next Tuesday the 13th May.

Clearly disruption will be caused that day with the works so if at all possible please stay away from the two pool areas when the work is in progress.

Swimming pool repairs
This work is taking longer than anticipated as once the pool was emptied of water additional cracks were identified which need to be repaired. The work is ongoing and we hope to have the pool back in use later next week.

Please be aware that the pool by the T’s and V’s will be unavailable from Monday 23rd September.
We have identified a crack in the liner at the bottom of the pool which requires urgent repair, not least to avoid the cost of lost water. There are also repairs needed to the pool steps.
Whilst the repairs are only expected to take a day we need to empty and refill which will mean the pool will likely be out of use for the full week.
The pools by Los Amigos and the top pool will be available as normal for residents.

Squatters on Playa Bastian

Please be aware that we have had squatters in a property on Zone D.

The police have been present and the squatters have been removed this afternoon.

No other details available.

Hopefully this is an isolated incident but please be aware and vigilant at all times and ensure your property is secure.

Algemene stroomstoring in juli 10 van 7.30 to 9.30 ben. in

Op bovengenoemde datum wordt in het hele complex de elektriciteit afgesloten vanwege onderhoudswerkzaamheden.

ZONE D TV-UPDATE

We zijn blij u te kunnen mededelen dat we er nu toegang toe hebben 4 Britse tv-kanalen. U zult uw tv opnieuw moeten afstemmen, wat door de eigenaren individueel moet worden gedaan, aangezien de commissie niet weet hoe ze met een dergelijke diversiteit aan technologie moet omgaan. .

De toegang tot de bestaande Spaans/Duitse zenders wordt niet beïnvloed. Er kunnen zich echter enkele initiële problemen voordoen, dus als u na het afstemmen nog steeds een probleem ondervindt, neem dan contact op met Maribel bij de receptie en we zullen zien of het kan worden verholpen.

Zone D-comité.

TV-systeem – Britse kanalen

In navolging van het verlies van Britse zenders na de buitengebruikstelling van de satelliet en vervolgens een succesvolle nieuwe tv-installatie in Zone C, we hebben vastgesteld dat we kunnen herstellen 4 Britse zenders – BBC1,BBC2,ITV1 en Ch4 op zone D
Deze werkzaamheden zullen naar verwachting in de komende twee tot drie weken beginnen, wanneer de nieuwe apparatuur arriveert.
Eigenaren zullen hun tv's opnieuw moeten afstemmen.
Het is echter belangrijk op te merken dat er geen individuele technische ondersteuning is voor dit pakket en dat ons systeem niet hetzelfde is als de andere zones, we hebben dus nog steeds het potentiële probleem van ondergrondse kabelstoringen.
In dat geval kunnen we kabels kosteneffectief repareren, dan bekijken we dit per geval.
Zodra het vervangende systeem is geplaatst, zullen wij indien nodig verdere informatie verstrekken.

Canarische dag

Houd er rekening mee dat de receptie van Playa Bastian deze week op donderdag en vrijdag gesloten is vanwege de Canarische dag.

Daarnaast zal het onderhoudsteam afwezig zijn, maar de zwembaden zullen zoals normaal worden schoongemaakt en behandeld.

De volledige dienstverlening wordt hervat op maandag 3 juni.

TV-update

We zijn op de hoogte van de situatie met Zone C TV, maar helaas heeft het enige tijd geduurd voordat we feitelijke informatie kregen. Het Zone D-systeem is anders, net als de geografie. We proberen in de komende week een bijeenkomst te regelen met het technische personeel om uit te zoeken welke optie er is, indien aanwezig, zou voor ons geschikt zijn.
