TV System Update

After many years of broadcasting the satellite from which we pick up our UK television signal has finally been switched off /decommissioned. This is something we had no knowledge of until it happened last Friday.

Therefore there are currently no UK television channels available on the complex.

We hope to be providing BBC World news and Sky News in the next day or two as a partial solution.

This affects the whole of the Playa Bastian complex and not just Zone D.

We are investigating possible alternative systems across the whole complex. However, this may take a month or two to resolve as there are technical, financial and logistical issues to contend with.

TV system
It seems that the satellite providing the signal for the community TV has failed. This problem affects all zones and is not limited to zone D.
The problem is being investigated to try and find a solution but at this time we have no indication when the service will be reinstated.
We will update when we have more information

Site Electical Fault

We have a major electrical fault on the complex with the incoming supply to the bottom pool. This circuit also supplies the TV/internet room so until the problem is fixed we also have no community internet or TV.

Unable to give a timescale for resolution but electricians on site investigating.

Thefts on the complex

Please be aware that we have had a small number of thefts from terraces in the past few days. The thefts have included clothing, towels and now an electric bicycle.

We re-iterate the request that you do not leave valuables on your terrace when unattended at any time. We know there are thieves about and ask all owners and their guests to be vigilant at all times.

In the event that you are a victim of such crimes please inform Maribel in reception and report to the police without delay.

We are very sad to announce that Linda Lamb passed away on the 5th February 2024.

As the Playa Bastian community we will remember Linda with great fondness and send our condolences to her husband Ced and her family and friends.

Avis d'AGA 2024

Tout le monde aurait dû récemment recevoir une lettre par e-mail, concernant la prochaine AGA de la Zone D, qui aura lieu le samedi 16 mars 2024, à partir de 9h00. Le lieu sera annoncé ultérieurement.

Si vous ne l'avez pas reçu, la lettre est disponible sur la page Avis officiels du site Web.

Tous les points que vous souhaiteriez voir discutés lors de l'AGA doivent être notifiés au président avant le mercredi 32 janvier. 2024.

Numéros de finca/parcelle

Chaque propriétaire aurait dû recevoir un e-mail la semaine dernière, envoyé par Yolanda, demander le numéro de Finca/Plot de leur propriété.

Nous traitons la demande d'un nouveau livre de procès-verbal, car l'ancien est expiré, et nous avons besoin du numéro Finca/Plot de chaque propriété dans la zone D.. Nous avons besoin que chaque propriété fournisse ces informations avant de pouvoir poursuivre le processus..

Nous vous serions reconnaissants de bien vouloir accorder votre attention urgente à cette question, si ce n'est pas déjà fait.. Le numéro requis sera dans votre escritura et est un nombre à cinq chiffres.

Fumigation

Un certain nombre de personnes ont fait remarquer qu'il y avait beaucoup de cafards en ce moment.

Aller de l'avant, l'entreprise de fumigation que nous utilisons, je visiterai chaque 3 mois et fumiger les parties communes uniquement. Toute fumigation future des habitations privées sera aux frais du propriétaire, et devra être organisé auprès de la réception.. Le coût approximatif sera d'environ 75,00 €. La Société ne peut garantir une visite à une heure précise de la journée, donc si le propriétaire ne sera pas présent, ils peuvent laisser une clé à la réception, et Maribel arrangera.

Si cela n'est pas acceptable pour le propriétaire, ils doivent alors prendre leurs propres dispositions pour la fumigation.

La prochaine fumigation aura lieu mi janvier. La date exacte sera connue la première semaine de janvier

IMPORTANT – Les propriétés qui doivent être fumigées doivent être laissées vides pendant 12 hours à cause des produits chimiques utilisés.

Pool Times

We have recently had Owners/Guests using the lower pool at 10.00pm,disturbing Residents who live near the pool. Can we remind Owners of the Pool opening times, which are 9.00am to 9.00pm.

Every Owner should have a laminated copy of the ‘Playa Bastian Zone D Community Rules’ in their property, which was handed out last year. On it, amongst other things, are the rules for the swimming pools, and we ask that Owners ensure that their Guests are made aware of this.

There is a copy of this on the Official Notices page of the website, and we have also attached a copy of the Community Rules below.
